Academic Ethics (AREE)

Students enrolled in Academic Year 111 (2022) and after are required to take academic ethics from the Center for Taiwan Academic Research Ethics Education (AREE). This is about 6 credit hours.

All Other Courses

PhD students should take at least 16 credits of elective courses. Courses from other departments must be first ok’d by both your advisor and the Administrative Office. Similarly, taking courses at other schools or while studying abroad must also be ok’d by both your advisor and the Administrative Office to count for credit. Credit exemption for courses taken in a prior program must be applied within your first week enrolled (see the regulations for more).

Above is for this year. Older students should check the curriculum map for your admission year, or an earlier year.
