1. The attached Word document contains the application form for the Public Health Department’s Master’s students applying for direct admission to the doctoral program, along with the recommendation letter template.
2. The attached PDF document includes the following: Regulations for Master’s students applying for direct admission to the doctoral program in the Department of Public Health, Regulations for students at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) to apply for direct admission to a doctoral program, Implementation guidelines for the NCKU Outstanding Student Direct Doctoral Program Scholarship.
3. Applicants are required to complete the attached application form and submit it along with the necessary documents combined into a single PDF file. The application, in electronic format, should be sent to the Public Health Department office email: em75561@ncku.edu.tw before the deadline.

4. Direct Admission to the Doctoral Program Relevant Information:
Master’s students (including those in part-time master's programs) at NCKU who wish to apply for direct admission to the doctoral program in the Department of Public Health must submit their applications within the announced period each year. Applicants must meet the following requirements:
(1) Two recommendations from assistant professors or above from the student’s current department, institute, college, or relevant academic program.
(2) The student must have completed at least one
semester in the master’s program. The average academic grade for each semester must be above 80, and the applicant should demonstrate research potential.
Required Documents (to be emailed to the department office before November 29, 2024):
1. Application form for direct admission to the doctoral program (see attachment)
2. Personal resume and statement of purpose
(including reasons for applying)
3. Original transcripts of undergraduate and master’s programs (including rank)
4. Two recommendation letters from professors
(see attachment)
5. Research proposal for the doctoral program 6. Any other materials that may assist in the review process.
