Research Highlights
Research Summary
Professor Chung-Yi Li specializes in epidemiology and biostatistics, focusing on environmental epidemiology, non-communicable disease epidemiology, and life course epidemiology. His early research on electromagnetic field exposure gained international recognition, leading to a consultant role for the WHO International EMF Project in 1998. From 2014-2022, he served as Executive Director of the International Society for Environmental Epidemiology-Asia and Western Pacific Chapter. His life course research includes studies on fetal programming, early-life events' impact on chronic diseases, and intergenerational transmission of suicidal behavior, with many papers published in the International Journal of Epidemiology. Recently, he has developed tools for environmental health literacy and evaluated smoking cessation and preventive healthcare services in Taiwan. As of May 2024, he has published 435 journal papers with an H-Index of 50.
